Our goal is to create a supportive mentorship group for younger girls, specifically 3rd to 5th graders, where they can build confidence, develop friendships, and have positive role models.
Our Mission
Program Details
Big Sis is a completely free, 6-week mentorship program with weekly meetings based in Chapel Hill and Carrboro. Each elementary school participant is paired with a high school mentor, creating a supportive “big sister” relationship.
Meetings are held at the Drakeford Library Complex and include games, activities, and arts and crafts designed to promote confidence, friendship, and self-esteem. Our goal is to create a welcoming and encouraging environment where younger girls can build connections, express themselves, and feel supported.
